Teen Shoots Somerville School Employee With BB Gun: Police
Police responded to three reported assaults in Somerville from Sept. 22-27.
SOMERVILLE, MA — A teenage boy shot an employee of the Capuano School with a BB gun during an argument outside the school, police said.
The incident happened around 2:50 p.m. on Sept. 22. Police said the employee was working on the soccer field when he was approached by the teen and the pair began arguing. The teen hit the employee in the face, pulled out a BB gun and shot him in the chest, police said.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 16 years old, with short hair and a gray hooded sweatshirt. He fled up Franklin Street toward Broadway, police said.

Somerville police responded to two other reported assaults from Sept. 22-27:
Sept. 24: Police were called to Day Street for a report of a past assault. A woman told officers she was harassed by a group of people while she was outside cleaning, police said. The woman's boyfriend came outside, and one of the men in the group hit him in the face.

The suspects then fled in a car. One man was described as 5-foot-11 or 6-foot-1, and the other was slightly shorter, with a tattoo on his upper right arm. Both men wore black tank tops and had dark hair, police said. A woman who was with them was described as just over 5 feet tall and having dark hair.
All suspects were white, police said.
Sept. 27: A man reported that he was assaulted at Assembly Row. Officers spoke with the victim, who said while he was parked on Foley Street, the driver of a passing car threw food and a drink at him. Police said the driver was described as a Black man in his mid-20s.
