New England Real Ale eXhibition Cask Party
Three casks of real ale from the United Kingdom will be featured at this party, held Saturday from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Olde Magoun's Saloon.

Rabies Clinic
If your dog or cat needs a rabies shot, head to the Department of Public Works, 1 Franey Rd., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. According to an announcement from the city, "Rabies vaccinations and on-site licenses for dogs will be available at the clinic. The cost of the vaccine is $10, and dog licenses are offered at a cost of $20 for spayed and neutered pets, and $30 for all others. Prior vaccination records are not required, and all vaccinations will be valid for one year."

A Little Night Music: String Quartets and Appetizers
This event will feature performances by the talented faculty, mentors and students of El Sistema Somerville, according to an email from the youth music program. There's also a silent auction. Plus, it's at Casa B in Union Square, so you know there will be some excellent food.

Build a Garden at the Kennedy School
Groundwork Somerville and volunteers will be working on the Kennedy School garden on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"Food for Thought": The Gaza Kitchen
The Gaza Kitchen is a cookbook that presents over 100 recipes along with interviews with home cooks and stories about life in Gaza. It's part of the Center for Arabic Culture's "Food for Thought" series, and it's Saturday at 4 p.m. at the center, housed in The Center for Arts at the Armory. 

Festival of Russian Music
According to the listing,  this yearly festival of Russian music spans a wide variety of genres and features performances by professional and amateur artists of all ages. It's Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Granoff Music Center at Tufts University.

Post-Meridian Radio Players Spring Scifi Specatcular
The Post-Meridian Radio Players perform classics from the golden age of radio. On Saturday they perform "Red Shift," where a do-gooder gets caught up in an sci-fi civil war and THEM!, about giant mutant ants. It's at 2 p.m. at Responsible Grace Church, 52 Russell St,.

Somerville Open Studios artists will learn about marketing their work. This talk is Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Artisan's Asylum.

Healey School Porter Square Books Fundraiser
Porter Square Books has agreed to donate 20 percent of all in-store purchases to the Friends of Healey School. It takes place Saturday.

A Storied Night in Somerville
In a show that proves writers can be entertaining, according to the listing, novelist and playwright Elizabeth Searle, memoirists Elaine Mar, Daniel Gewertz and Ethan Gilsdorf, and storytellers Randy Ross and Judah Leblang will be featured. It's Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Bloc 11 Cafe.

All-Female Queen Tribute Act

Miller Street Open Studios
More then 35 artists open their studios during this three-day event. The kickoff party on Friday includes refreshments and music. Check it out at the Miller Street Studios.

Overboard A Cappella
If you like a cappella music, head to The Center for Arts at the Armory Sunday at 3 p.m. Tufts University's Beelzebubs open for Boston-based Overboard.
