3 Citizens Bank Employees Charged With Embezzlement

The trio is accused of withdrawing funds from customers' accounts.

SOMERVILLE, MA — Yeimaly Moscat, 23, was arraigned in Middlesex Superior Court Friday for reportedly stealing money from customers’ accounts while she was employed as a bank teller at a Citizens Bank in Somerville, according to Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan.

The Boston resident is one of three Citizens tellers being charged with the same crime. Yojairis Suazo, 21, and Angelica Morales, 31, also reportedly embezzled funds while working at Citizens locations in the communities of Dorchester and Milton respectively.

Moscat is being accused of stealing more than $40,000 through 12 unauthorized withdrawals between September and November of 2022. According to Ryan, Moscat was arraigned on two counts of larceny over $1,200 by scheme, one count of embezzlement by a bank employee, two counts of conspiracy to commit larceny and one count of attempted larceny.

Moscat’s bail was set at $1,000, and she was ordered to stay away from all Citizens Bank locations.
Suazo was also arraigned Friday for one count of larceny over $1200 by scheme, one count of embezzlement by a bank employee, one count of Conspiracy to commit larceny, and one count of attempted larceny. Unlike Moscat, she was released on her own recognizance but must also stay away from all Citizens Bank locations.

Morales’s arraignment is currently scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 12.
