WEEK IN REVIEW: Hunt for Armed Suspect Leads to School Lockdown

Two men were arrested Monday after reports of an armed home invasion in Winter Hill and a brief manhunt in the area. The manhunt caused a lockdown at the Healey School and brought out a helicopter from the Massachusetts State Police Airwing. The two suspects, Edward Anthony Paulino, 19, and Derrick Steven Paul, 22, were also believed to be tied to a similar incident that happened earlier in the day in Medford. The officer who eventually captured Paulino had formerly coached the young man in Pop Warner Football .

State Wants Green Line Extension Lawsuit Dismissed
The commonwealth is attempting to have a recent lawsuit brought against the proposed Green Line Extension thrown out of court. According to court documents, the state Attorney General filed a motion on March 22 in U.S. District Court to dismiss the suit, which was brought by Dr. William Wood and Carolyn Rosen of West Medford back in January on behalf of their group, the Green Line Advisory Group of Medford (GLAM). According to the filing, the state is arguing for dismissal based on a "lack of subject matter jurisdiction and failure to state a claim upon which relief may be granted."
