• Indoor track: Hampshire County athletes compete in PVIAC's first meet of the season (gazettenet.com) — South Hadley High’s indoor track team opened the season strong at Smith College, with multiple top-five finishes including standout runs from Grace Cooney and Margaret Healey in the girls 2-mile. Local athletes also placed well in sprints, jumps, and relays, setting an encouraging tone for the Tigers and neighboring Hampshire County schools as the PVIAC season gets underway.
   

• Though disbanded after 42 years, Pelham Lions Club's work lives on through Sidney F. Smith Toy Fund (gazettenet.com) — Families in South Hadley can benefit from the Sidney F. Smith Toy Fund, which offers $65 vouchers for children and can be used at Odyssey Bookshop in Village Commons. The fund’s reach is strengthened by decades of work from the now-disbanded Pelham Lions Club, whose members still support the effort to help low-income families across Hampshire County.
