Boston Police Cracking Down on Motor Scooters, Dirt Bikes
BPD will be stopping, ticketing and possibly arresting vehicle operators who "cause danger and disturbance to Boston communities."
Boston, MA - Tired of the drones and whines of dirt bikes engines speeding around town? Boston police apparently are, too.
Citing "growing community complaints," the Boston Police Department is working with multiple outside agencies to crack down on what it calls reckless and illegal operation of unregistered motor scooters, dirt bikes, and recreational vehicles.
Police will bear down on those drivers over the next few weeks. That includes stopping, ticketing and possibly also arresting vehicle operators who, in the BPD's words, drive in "manners that cause danger and disturbance to Boston communities."
