Five Things: 570 Market Seeking Beer and Wine License
Tremont Street market would not advertise alcoholic beverages in its windows.

Today is Thursday, November 10. Here are five things you need to know today.
1. The honeymoon is over. Showers likely this morning and afternoon. Temps will remain in the lower 60s.
2. The owner of on Tremont Street is seeking a license to sell beer and wine in the specialty foods shop. According to the Union Park Neighborhood Association, no more than six feet of shelf space would be devoted to beer and wine during, aside from the holiday season. No signs advertising alcoholic beverages would be placed near the windows and beers would not be sold individually. The UPNA voted to support the application at its November meeting.

3. State Representative Aaron Michlewitz is holding a coffee hour this Saturday at on Harrison Avenue. Stop by from 10 a.m until noon to chat with Aaron about issues or just to say hello.
4. Boston Police are warning local law firms of a scam that recently attempted to victimize six local companies. In the scam, an entity posing as an architectural firm mails a counterfeit check in excess of $90,000 to a law firm, asking them to assist with a settlement agreement. Anyone who receives correspondence matching this description should refrain from cashing the check and call (617) 343-5922.
