Three Men Charged with Attempting to Steal Bicycles on Harrison Avenue

The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

Boston Police officers responded to a report of a larceny in progress near 840 Harrison Avenue on 2:45 a.m. on October 26.

According to the police report, officers arrived at the scene and witnessed three men trying to break the locks off of bicycles chained to a bike rack. One man was trying to take the U-lock off of a bike with a screwdriver when the officer ordered him to stop and place his hands against the wall.

According to the report, after reading the suspect his Miranda rights, the officer asked the suspect if the bike was his. The man replied, “no.”

Another officer responded to the two other men allegedly trying to steal other bikes on the rack.

Angel Garcia and Christian Feliciano of 444 Harrison Avenue and Jose Omar Malpica-Coreano of 8 Prescott Street, Fitchburg, were each arrested and charged with trespassing, possession of burglarious tools and attempting to commit a crime.
