Annual Stoneham Veterans Day Ceremony & Run This Friday

The Memorial Day Parade Committee is excited to offer the 7th Annual Stoneham Veterans Day Run in conjunction with the Town's ceremony. The race is a way for the community to come together in support of local service members and their families. A 5K distance is offered and participants of all ages and abilities are welcome and encouraged to participate. Please visit stonehamveteransdayrun.org to register online. In person registration will be available on Thursday, Nov. 10th at Marathon Sports (Melrose) from 4-7pm and on Friday, Nov 11th from 9am-11:15am at Stoneham Town Hall, 35 Central Street.

Race shirts will be provided to the first 150 pre-registered participants. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers. Additionally, there will be a post-race celebration with free pizza provided compliments of Angelo’s Ristorante and a free ice cream truck compliments of Astound Broadband by RCN.

Event Details

The Veterans Day Run/Walk will take place on Friday, November, 11. The race starts and finishes at Stoneham Town Hall which is located at 35 Central Street, Stoneham 02180. Parking is available on site.

November 10: In Person Registration & Packet Pick-Up

9:00 AM: Check-In and Registration open

11:15 AM: Check-In Registration closes

10:30 AM: Veterans Day Observance Ceremony begins

11:11 AM: Ceremony concludes, race participants assemble

11:30 AM: Race begins

12:00 PM: Post-race Reception with complimentary pizza from Angelo's Pizzeria and a free ice cream truck from Astound Broadband by RCN
