Books, Free Brews And More At Stoneham Reading Event

STONEHAM, MA — An event later this month will aim to celebrate reading and books in Stoneham via the local Stoneham Reads program.

The event is set to run from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at the Stones Common House and Kitchen. Guests are invited to bring their own book for a community discussion on how reading and/or an individual book has impacted views of self-identify, the community and the broader world, as noted in an event announcement.

Interested participants should register online by the end of the day on Friday.

Next week’s event at the Stones will feature complimentary beer, wine, mocktails and appetizers. Cocktails and other food will be available to purchase.

“Books are a pathway to learning, and to change, and to adventure,” organizers said in their event announcement. “We want to know about the books that have moved you.”

Stoneham Reads is a community project that describes its mission as being to "build bridges by promoting reading, critical thinking and community connection." The project is sponsored by the Stoneham Community Development Corporation and other groups.
