Cultural Council Offers New $2.5K Grants
Applications close on Dec. 15 for Massachusetts Cultural Council "Festivals & Projects" grants.
STONEHAM, MA — Stoneham-area groups have a shot at a series of $2,500 grants for various festivals and projects via the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the council announced in a joint statement with the Stoneham Cultural Council Monday.
The Festivals and Projects grants will aim to help support individuals or groups holding public cultural projects, festivals or activities. This combined grant application process is open both to new applicants and to applicants for formerly separate “projects” and “festivals” programs, the councils said.
The state Cultural Council serves as an umbrella organization encompassing the Stoneham Cultural Council and other local councils. It is awarding 550 Festivals and Projects grants around the state this year, each worth $2,500.
