That Five Guys Story ... it wasn't true folks
In Letter to the Editor, resident says story regarding an incident at Five Guys was dishonest.

A Letter to the Editor from Chris Whitney:
I am writing regarding a letter to the editor featured in the August 8th issue, entitled “No home for hate here." The writer spoke about her lawn sign and her reason for displaying it, referencing an incident involving the harassment of an immigrant family by a white male at a local restaurant.
Everyone has a right to place signs on their lawns — but the story regarding an incident at 5 Guys was dishonest. I followed up the letter with a visit to the restaurant. The manager and help had never heard of any altercation as was described in the letter - nor was a police report filed to report the incident.

As for the car full of teens yelling at a minority person walking a dog ... baseless allegations - and I ask once again, were the police called?
The current political climate is toxic enough without spreading unfounded allegations to support one’s political views - me thinks if i were to drive by the author with a Trump bumper sticker, this person would not respect nor be kind to me.

Let’s be honest, the sign is a clear CRITIQUE DIRECTED AT THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION.
Here’s hoping love and “tolerance” comes out on top!
