Five Things: Fells and Woodland Road Improvements Meeting

Five things to know today, Monday, March 18, 2013:
1. Snow starts after midnight. Increasing clouds today with a high near 35, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, snow, mainly after 2 a.m. Low around 29. Southeast wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
2. Meeting on Middlesex Fells Reservation/Woodland Road Corridor improvements this afternoon. The state Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs will hold a meeting today at 1:30 p.m. at the Botume House, 4 Woodland Road, to receive advice and comments from agencies, officials, and citizens regarding which environmental issues, if any, are significant for a project on Fells and Woodland Road improvements. The meeting will include a brief presentation of the project by the proponent, with periods for questions, answers, and open comment. Additional comments will be welcome in writing prior to March 26.

3. Hall of Fame Committee meets tonight. The committee meets at 6:30 p.m. at the high school to continue to review bios on candidates for Class of 2014 from the long list to narrow down to a short list.
4. Wii bowling for seniors. Have fun and brush up on your bowling skills each Monday (except holidays) at 8:30 a.m. at the Stoneham Senior Center. All are welcome. The Senior Center's Wii bowling team frequently participates in tournaments with other Centers and independent living facilities in the area.
