Holiday Toy Drive Ongoing In Stoneham
The toy drive is ongoing through Dec. 16 benefiting area children and families in need.
STONEHAM, MA — Community members in Stoneham can give back in the coming weeks via the return of the town’s annual Toys for Local Children Toy Drive.
The drive is ongoing with collection boxes set up at the Stoneham Fire Department, Stoneham Police Station, Stoneham Town Hall, Stoneham Public Library and the Stoneham Bank location on Montvale Avenue. Boxes will remain in place until Dec. 16.
The toy drive is organized by the Stoneham Fire Department, the Stoneham Town Clerk’s office and the Toys for Local Children charity.

Organizers are looking for new, unwrapped toys for all ages.
Town organizers announced the drive this week, noting that children between the ages of 10 and 16 are most often forgotten in programs like this drive.

Beyond toys, organizers are accepting gift cards especially for children in the 10-16 age group.
As organizers invite donations, the town is also processing applications for aid through the toy drive.
Individuals needing help this holiday season can pick up an application in person from the Town Clerk’s office or online from the Town Clerk’s website.
Applications are due to Town Clerk Maria Sagarino by Dec. 14.
