Man Wins $4 Million Prize On MA Lottery Ticket Sold In Stoneham
It was the first top prize awarded in the state's $4,000,000 Diamonds game.
STONEHAM, MA — A man won $4 million playing the Massachusetts State Lottery. The win marked the state's first in the $4,000,000 Diamonds $10 instant ticket game.
Jovon Garner, of Brunswick, GA won the prize.
Garner, who was in Massachusetts for work, chose to play the game because he liked the design of the scratch-off ticket, according to Massachusetts State Lottery.

He opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $2,600,000 before taxes. He plans to use a portion of his winnings to buy a new vehicle and a new shed.
Garner purchased the winning ticket at Stop & Shop, 259 Main St. in Stoneham. The store will receive a $40,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

There are still three remaining top prizes of $4 million remaining in the $4,000,000 Diamonds game. The player's odds of winning are 1 in 4,032,000, according to Massachusetts State Lottery
