Results Are In: Two Dispensaries 'Have the Best Grass In Mass'
Two Eastern Massachusetts cannabis dispensaries took home the glory in Massachusetts' first Cultivator's Cup.
STONEHAM MA — Since Massachusetts' legalization of marijuana, the cannabis industry has done nothing but skyrocket.
At the beginning of September, Massachusetts hosted the state's first Cultivator's Cup in Somerset, a competition designed to "empower and establish" emerging licensed recreational cannabis cultivators.
The competition also allows consumers to provide honest feedback on various cannabis and cannabis-infused products, and with that being said, two dispensaries were voted to have some of the best product in the state.

Consumers and judges from Cultivator's Cup, hosted by Solar and the Farmacist, voted Natick-based Bountiful Farms and Stoneham-based Theory Wellness top scores, winning for "best overall," "best visual," "best taste," and "best cure."
The results were able to be determined thanks to "judge's kits," which were sold through the month of August. These kits offered by Solar included 28 one-gram containers of marijuana flower from 16 Massachusetts dispensaries.

The judges who purchased the kits voted on which products they thought were the best in four categories.
Even with different ways to consume marijuana from seltzer drinks to tinctures, state data showed raw cannabis flower is the best selling product by far, calculating at millions in weekly sales.
From August 30 - Sept. 5, Massachusetts tracked 742,000 sales of $30 million. Of those sales, 31% was raw cannabis flower. Another 28% was from pre-rolled cannabis joints containing raw flower.
