Stoneham Field Of Honor Returning This November

Up to 500 flags will adorn the Central Middle School field for a week to honor veterans, military members and first responders.

STONEHAM, MA — The Field Of Honor is returning to town after a successful initial run during the pandemic.

From Nov. 5-13, hundreds of full-sized flags will honor veterans, military members and first responders at the Central Middle School field.

Last year the celebration was put together on short notice — just a matter of weeks. Even still, some 150 flags were in the field.

This year's event is looking to triple that number, having a maximum of 500 flags sponsored. Proceeds go to veterans causes.

There's also going to be a Veterans Day ceremony at Town Hall as well as a road race. Activities will be held at the field during the week.
