Stoneham Halloween Stroll Set For Saturday
The event will feature trick-or-treating, pumpkin decorating and more.
STONEHAM, MA — Stoneham will celebrate Halloween early this weekend with the return of annual Halloween Stroll festivities.
The event is organized by the Stoneham Chamber of Commerce, Stoneham TV and Stoneham Recreation.
It will run on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Stoneham and on the Stoneham Town Common.

The event will feature trick-or-treating at local businesses alongside pumpkin decorating, crafts, games and other amenities on the Town Common, as noted in a Chamber of Commerce announcement on Friday.
The free event is backed by a number of community sponsors.

Halloween Stroll programming on Saturday will coincide with a planned Open Day at the Old Burying Ground at the intersection of Pleasant and William Streets in Stoneham.
The Stoneham Historical Commission announced that event earlier this week, promising both guided tours and self-guided options at the historic burying ground site.
Stoneham Police recently shared a batch of Halloween safety tips this week, noting best practices ranging from trick-or-treating safety, to costume safety, to driving safety on Halloween night and related days.
