STONEHAM, MA — Stoneham High School transitioned to a remote learning model Friday after four students tested positive for COVID-19. Stoneham Superintendent John Macero said the school will remain remote for about two weeks, with a tentative return date set for Monday, Nov. 30.
Macero said the confirmed cases required a "significant portion" of students and staff to be quarantined.
"While we cannot confirm in-school transmission occurred, two of the positive cases may be related," Macero said. "In addition, we have many community members awaiting test results."
