Stoneham Man Arrested After Stealing Truck, Scaling 'Toast': PD
John Farrell, 33, was arrested in Danvers after police said he stole a struck, scaled a restaurant and broke into the boiler room.
DANVERS, MA — A Stoneham man accused of stealing a truck was arrested after police said he climbed on top of a popular Danvers restaurant and ended up in the boiler room.
John Farrell, 33, was charged with breaking and entering during the nighttime for a felony, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and providing a false name. Farrell also had multiple warrants and could be connected to overnight car break-ins near Kirkbride Drive, according to Danvers police.
Authorities responded to a single-vehicle crash near Route 128 and Endicott Street around 4:19 a.m. Friday. The driver had fled, and when police contacted the owner he reported the truck stolen.

Officers came across Farrell, who climbed atop The Friendly Toast restaurant. When the building was surrounded, he made his way through a roof hatch into the boiler room before he was arrested, police said.
