Stoneham Man Arrested in New Hampshire On Charges of Reckless Conduct

New Hampshire State Police arrested a Stoneham resident on Saturday after observing him speeding on his motorcycle.

The following information was provided by the New Hampshire State Police, an arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Edson Barbosa, 44, of Stoneham was arrested in New Hampton, New Hampshire on June 15 on charges of felony reckless conduct.

Barbosa was driving on Route 93 southbound in a 65 mph zone when police spotted him travelling between 130 and 152 mph, according to a release from the New Hampshire State Police.

The officer also observed Barbosa weaving in and out of congested traffic, passing numerous vehicles, according to the release.

Barbosa was eventually stopped by State Police at the Hooksett Toll Plaza while attempting to pay the toll, and was taken into custody without incident, according to the release.

Barbosa was released on bail and is scheduled to appear in circuit court in Laconia on July 16.
