Stoneham Needs Zenaide Diemer On School Committee
In a Letter to the Editor, resident says Stoneham children will benefit from having a teacher on the School Committee.

A Letter to the Editor from Kate Stockbridge-Choice:
My name is Kate Stockbridge-Choice. I am a resident of Stoneham, and my children are 4th generation in the Stoneham community. I am writing a letter of endorsement for Zenaide Diemer, a candidate for School Committee Member. Zenaide and I were neighbors for several years. We met like good neighbors do on the street pushing our kids in strollers. We hit it off right away. We learned that we both had similar adventures in the quest to find success and we loved that fact that we both chose Stoneham to settle down and raise a family.
Stoneham is a great place to raise a family, but a great place also means a great education system. I am happy with my children's educational growth. I would be happier knowing a teacher is part of the school committee, reviewing the policies and practices that effect the social and academic needs of all our students. The nature of a teacher is to advocate for her students. I am confident that Zenaide will keep advocating for them, making sure Stoneham Public Schools is meeting the social and academic needs of all our children in order to help them develop into happy successful adults.

When I heard that Zenaide was running for School Committee I was happy to hear it. Zenaide is the perfect candidate! She is a mom with young kids like me and she has the same worries that I do. What especially makes her an ideal candidate is her direct teaching experience with students. She has 15 years of professional teaching experience that she can share and give valuable perspective to the School Committee. I have had numerous opportunities to observe Zenaide around her students. With her compassionate heart I witnessed her dedication and drive to meet their needs. I know she will take that same dedication and apply it to her role as School Committee Member. The job of the school committee member is to review the policies and practices that support our students. A teacher who has been working in the classroom teaching the curriculum is the ideal school committee member.
On April 2nd, take this wonderful opportunity to have a school teacher participate in the School Committee. Where she can review the practices and policies that effect our children's education. There isn't anyone better suited for the job of School Committee Member than a teacher, Zenaide Diemer. Please elect a teacher for our kids.
