STONEHAM, MA — A resident won $1 million from the Massachusetts State Lottery as the winner of an instant ticket game, the state lottery announced.Valerie Guazzo purchased her $10 winning ticket for the "$2,500,000 Merry and Bright" game from Marina's Mart on Howard Street in Saugus. Guazzo chose to receive her prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000. According to the Mass State Lottery, she plans on spending her winnings with family members.
