Water Main Flushing In Stoneham To Begin Tuesday

A release from the Town of Stoneham:

Starting Tuesday for approximately 5-6 weeks, weather permitting, the Town of Stoneham Water Department will be conducting a flushing program between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Flushing of hydrants will begin on North Border Road/South Street at Main Street and move in a northerly direction throughout the town. This program is to ensure a cleaner, safer, and more efficient water distribution system.

This may temporarily create dirty water conditions before the program is complete. Avoid washing clothes during the period of time flushing is taking place in your section of town. If a problem occurs during the program, please call 781-438-2583.
