STOUGHTON, MA — The 2018 Massachusetts Primary is in the books and while other parts of the state saw big upsets and races that are too close to call, it was a relatively quiet day in Stoughton. About 27 percent of registered voters in Stoughton chose to cast their ballot for the primary. Here are some numbers about the vote in Stoughton: <ul><li>4,473: The total amount of Stoughton residents who voted in Tuesday's election. </li><li>7: The number of contested races on both the Democratic and Republican ballots. Only both governor's races, the Democratic lieutenant governor's race, the Democratic congressional race, the Democratic secretary of state race, and the Republican attorney general's race had more than one candidate.</li><li>2,947: The number of votes for Democratic Attorney General Maura Healey in her uncontested primary. No other candidate in Stoughton received more votes. Lieutenant Governor Karen Polito got the most on the Republican side, netting 989 votes in her uncontested race.</li></ul>Voters will be asked to return to the polls for the general election on Nov. 6. <hr />Image via Shutterstock
