40-Year-Old Stoughton Woman Killed In Apparent Homicide: DA

The victim's body was found on the 700 block of Park Street near Fifth Street, the Norfolk District Attorney said.

STOUGHTON, MA —The woman found dead Tuesday in a building on Park Street has been identified as a 40-year-old Stoughton woman, the Norfolk District Attorney's Office said Wednesday.

The body of the victim, Amber Buckner, was found on the 700 block of Park Street near Fifth Street, according to the district attorney.

The office is calling the death an apparent homicide.

"The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office joins the Stoughton Police Department in extending our condolences to the family of Ms. Bucker and all those who will mourn her loss," the office said Wednesday.

While the crime scene was active Tuesday afternoon, authorities said there was "no reason to believe there is a danger to the area."
