Actor in “The Town” Helps Promote Malcolm & Parsons Food Drive

The Stoughton Insurance Agency will match any non-perishable food donations dropped off at their downtown office through the end of February. All proceeds will go to the Stoughton food pantries.

Drop off any canned goods or non-perishable items at Malcolm and Parsons’ downtown Stoughton office (770 Washington St.) during the month of February and the insurance agency will match the donation.

All proceeds will go directly to the Stoughton food pantries.

“At Malcolm & Parsons Insurance we’re aware of the hunger problems within our community. We would like to encourage our clients and other Stoughton businesses to help get food to families in need,” the company said in an email.

The drive, which has been running since December, has attracted some celebrity attention. Footloose star Kenny Wormald stopped by the Malcolm & Parsons office in December to help promote the drive.

Recently, another actor with Hollywood ties, Stoughton’s Jimmy Maher, who was in “The Town,” visited the insurance agency to help with promotion (see photo in media gallery).

Jack Raeke from Malcolm and Parsons sent the following email:

The stars are out again at Malcolm and Parsons! Stoughton's own Jimmy Maher, star of "The Town" ("the inside guy"…the security guard at Fenway who let Ben Affleck and Jeremy Renner in to rip off Fenway) stopped by to promote our food drive.

You don't have to be a big movie star to come donate food! Time is running out. Our drive ends the end of this month!
