Best Of: Patch Readers Pick Bob’s Famous Foodmart as Place to Get Best Sandwich in Stoughton

They don’t call it famous for nothing.

After a week of voting, Stoughton Patch readers have selected on Park St. as the .

The poll kicked off a “Best Of” series which will allow readers to vote for their favorite businesses and places in Stoughton.

In the inaugural poll, Bob’s Famous Foodmart garnered 45 percent of the vote. , located in Cobb’s Corner, was the runner-up, finishing with 38 percent of the vote. Bob’s and Maxie’s went back-and-forth all week, alternating between the top two spots.

The poll opened Monday morning and closed Friday morning. More than 1,300 votes were cast and dozens more left comments on the website, on Facebook, or through email.

“Thank You to all our loyal customers! And Thank You to our Bob's Famous Staff who makes it all work,” Bob’s Famous Foodmart wrote in a . “We will continue to make you the best sandwiches in Stoughton. We promise to do our best by providing you with the best quality meats and cheeses and the freshest produce.”

Next week’s “Best Of” poll will ask what the best women’s hair salon is in Stoughton.

The winner for each “Best Of” category will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, (positive) comments on this article, and reviews on Patch Places.
