Boston Man Arrested In Stoughton Break-In And Assault
The suspect fled on foot but was soon found near Cobb Corner and taken into custody.

STOUGHTON, MA — A 25-year-old Boston man has been arrested after being accused of a breaking and entering and assault incident in Stoughton early Tuesday morning, local police said Wednesday.
Police responded to a home in Golden Road at 12:39 a.m. after receiving a report that the man — later identified as Elijah Peeples — had broken in and was still there.
The first officer to arrive in the area noticed a car quickly pull onto Central Street and decided to follow it, police said.

The car then increased its speed and failed to stop at a red light before crashing. Peeples fled on foot but was soon found near Cobb Corner and taken into custody.

- Breaking and Entering During the Nighttime with the Intent to Commit a Felony
- Domestic Assault
- Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage
- Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Failure to Stop for a Red Light
He was booked at the Stoughton Police Department and arraigned Tuesday in Stoughton District Court.
