Car Crash on West St. in Stoughton Sends Pair to Hospital
Firefighters had to extinguish a small fire in the car. The two occupants sustained minor injuries.
The transported two people to the hospital late Thursday night after a car rolled over on West Street and caught on fire.
Stoughton firefighter Scott Mellyn said that a “car shattered a telephone pole, rolled at least twice and caught on fire.”
The SFD responded to the call Thursday at 11:39 p.m. at 1340 West St. (near Westview Drive) and found a vehicle on its side. Primary power lines were down on the front lawn of the West St. property and firefighters had to extinguish a small fire in the car, SFD Captain Doug Campbell said.

The two occupants had exited the vehicle by the time firefighters arrived. Mellyn said both were transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton with “minor injuries.”
