Car Flips Over on Bay Road in Stoughton Sending Elderly Woman to Hospital

A blue four-door sedan flipped over on Bay Road in Stoughton late Thursday afternoon, sending an elderly woman to the hospital.

The car struck a roadside embankment and overturned, trapping the operator, according to Captain Bob O'Donnell of the .

The female operator was extracted from the vehicle with the help of crews from Engine 1 of the Stoughton Fire Department and Engine 4 of the Sharon Fire Department, O'Donnell said.
The operator was transported to Boston Medical Center. She sustained multiple injuries, but they are not considered to be life-threatening, O'Donnell said.
