1. Stoughton Selectmen Seek Residents to Serve on Town Manager Screening Committee

The Stoughton Board of Selectmen is advertising for a citizens’ screening committee to help in the search for a new Town Manager.

The Board is looking for residents who can “assist in the process of screening, interviewing, and recommending qualified candidates for the Board’s consideration for the position of Town Manager.”

The deadline for letters of interest to serve on this committee is Wednesday, February 29.

2. Chess Club

The Chess Club meets in the young adult area of the Stoughton Public Library on Wednesday ay 5 p.m.

3. Senior Center Events

  • 9 a.m. - Walking Club
  • 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. - Total Body Conditioning
  • 10:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. - Senior Serenader Choral Practice
  • 12:45 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. - Gentle Yoga
  • 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. - Strength Training
  • LUNCH (11:15 a.m.) - Tuna Fish Sandwhich

4. Sports on Tap

The Stoughton High boys' hockey team takes part in the two game Bourne Tournament. Stoughton takes on Dennis-Yarmouth at the Gallo Arena in Bourne in the first game, Wednesday at 2 p.m..  

5. Reminder: Get Your Oil Changed, Help the Stoughton Food Pantries

Every Saturday during the months of January and February, Windsor Tire and Island Street Auto will donate $10 to Doin' It For Diane for every oil changed performed.

You can also participate by making a monetary donation or dropping off any non-perishable food items to either location.

The Doin' It For Diane Stoughton Food Pantry Fundraiser is supported by the Stoughton Chamber of Commerce and Copy Inks.
