Jake's Wayback Burgers Shuts Down

The burger joint is no longer open for business, but a return is not out of the question.

STOUGHTON, MA — For those in Stoughton looking for a burger, Jake's Wayback Burgers is no longer an option.

The restaurant located at the intersection of Washington and Central streets is no longer open for business. Owner Amantino Lopes told Mark Snyder of Stoughton News that a lease hike was the reason for the closure.

Jake's Wayback Burgers opened in 2012. The building was previously occupied by Little Caesar's Pizza and Zoots Dry Cleaning.

A return may be possible, Lopes said he is negotiating with the owners of the Walgreen's Plaza and Stop & Shop Plaza for a possible move, with a West Bridgewater location opening soon.
