Jamaican Take-Out Restaurant Could Open In Stoughton

Right Taste Jamaican, if approved by town officials, will open where Daddy's Dairy used to be on Washington Street.

STOUGHTON, MA — A Jamaican restaurant may be on its way to Stoughton. The planning board approved Right Taste Jamaican Restaurant to open at 354 Washington St., where Daddy's Dairy used to be. The eatery's permit is pending approval from the Building Department and Board of Health.

Owner Donovan Francis told the board at its Sept. 19 meeting his restaurant will primarily be take-out. He plans to have one table with three seats and a counter with another three seats inside.

If approved, this would be Francis' second restaurant. Francis has run the original Right Taste Jamaican Restaurant in Mattapan for the last 17 years.
