Kenny Wormald Plugs "One Human Race" and Stoughton in Kiss 108 Interview

Stoughton's own appeared in studio for an interview with Kiss 108's Matty in the Morning radio show on Wednesday discussing a variety of topics, ranging from the to his next movie role to his hometown.

The Project Moves Dance Company (out of the Gold School of Dance in Brockton) is bringing "," a critically-acclaimed dance show that has moved and inspired sold out audiences across New England, to Oliver Ames High School (100 Lothrop St. in North Easton) on Thursday, June 28.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and will feature Wormald, star of the recent remake of "." Fellow Stoughton resident Max Fineman is also a featured performer. 

General Admission is $25, VIP seats are $100, although there are a number of free seats for middle and high school students.

Wormald told Matty in the Morning the show has a mission to "present a powerful message of human respect and acceptance through the art of dance."

"I used to get bullied as a kid growing up a dancer," Wormald told host Matt Siegel. "So I'm glad I can come back and be part of the show. it's a really big deal for me and the studio and the company and my teacher Rennie Gold."

Wormald will also be teaching a dance class - open to the public - at the Gold School (1154 North Montello St. in Brockton) this Saturday, June 30. The class will take place from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. It's available for those ages 10 and up for a cost of $25, with registration at the door, according to the Gold School website.

"I love it. It's a passion of mine to give back to the kids," Wormald said during the Kiss 108 interview.

In July, Wormald will head to Ontario, Canada to start filming for his next movie role, and this time he won't be dancing. He is set to star in Kid Cannabis, a true story about a drug smuggling operation over the border of Idaho and Canada.

Siegel joked that "Idaho's a lot like Stoughton...not a lot going on."

Wormald began his interview on Kiss 108 joking that Siegel "knocked Stoughton last time I was on the show. It's a great town; you have to check it out."

Wormald ended the 10-minute interview plugging his father Ed's new restaurant, , located at the intersection of Canton and School Streets in Stoughton. 

"Everybody go to the . Best food ever," he said, giving a thumbs up to the roast beef sandwiches there.
