Update: Male Pedestrian Struck by Pickup Truck in Stoughton

A pedestrian was transported to Boston Medical Center with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a truck at the intersection of Seaver St. and Capen St. Wednesday morning.

An “older male” pedestrian was transported to Boston Medical Center Wednesday morning after he was struck by a motor vehicle, Stoughton Fire Department Captain Robert O’Donnell said.

Stoughton and responded to a call at the intersection of Seaver St. and Capen St. at 6:24 a.m. A Toyota pickup hit the pedestrian, who appeared to be on his way to work, O’Donnell said.

The pedestrian was transported to BMC via ambulance. A MedFlight was requested, but was not available due to the fog.

The pedestrian had life-threatening injuries but is in stable condition as of Thursday morning, according to the Stoughton Police Department’s Facebook page.

O’Donnell also said the operator of the vehicle was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.
