• Federal lawsuit alleges ‘violent excessive force' by Stoughton police (patriotledger.com) — A Stoughton resident has filed a $1 million federal lawsuit accusing three Stoughton police officers and town leadership of using excessive force and failing to properly train and supervise officers. The suit centers on a 2022 arrest inside his Central Street apartment and claims repeated Taser use caused lasting physical and emotional harm, while town officials maintain the officers acted within department policy.
