Police Log: Potential Coyote Attack on Pet Reported on Ruth Road

The following information was provided by the Stoughton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Friday, Sept. 5

At 12:42 a.m., police received a report that several dogs were barking in a home on Amherst Road and that every light was on in the house. Officers responded and did a walk through; no one was reported home and officers secured the dogs.

At 7:01 a.m., police issued a summons to a Providence, Rhode Island resident for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after pulling a vehicle over on Simpson Street.

At 12:19 p.m., police arrested Tatiana Araujo, 21, of Brockton, on a warrant after pulling her vehicle over in the area of Pleasant and Capen streets.

At 1:39 p.m., police issued a summons to a Brockton man for shoplifting by concealing merchandise at Kohl’s in Stoughton.

Saturday, Sept. 6

At 11:09 a.m., police received a report from a Ruth Road resident that his pet had been attacked and killed by a coyote. Stoughton’s Animal Control Officer was notified.

Sunday, Sept. 7

At 2:07 p.m., a brush fire was reported on Kelsey Drive.

At 3:59 p.m., police issued a summons to a Stoughton man for possession of a Class E drug.

Monday, Sept. 8

At 1:22 p.m., police arrested Antonio L. Millner, 47, of Dorchester on four outstanding warrants.

At 7:03 p.m., officers served an arrest warrant to Sarah Lightbourn, 34, of Stoughton.

Tuesday, Sept. 9

At 11:29 a.m., police issued a summons to a 21-year-old Stoughton man for larceny of more than $250.

At 4:44 p.m., a woman reported to police that a fraudulent charge was made with her credit card.

At 6:37 p.m, a caller reported that he found a wild cat and put it in a box and told officers he would bring the animal to the vet.

At 7:53 p.m., a caller reported that a raccoon was in distress on Chestnut Street. Animal Control responded to the scene and subsequently put the animal down.
