Public Hearing Scheduled for Improving Stoughton's Town Meeting
A public hearing is scheduled by the Board of Selectmen's Town Meeting Subcommittee for Thursday evening, July 19 at the Town Hall.

The following is the notice of a public hearing and request for public comment from the Board of Selectmen's Town Meeting Subcommittee:
A public hearing will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 7 p.m. in the Great Hall, Town Hall (third floor), 10 Pearl Street, Stoughton, Massachusetts by the Town Meeting Subcommittee of the Board of Selectmen to receive information on the following topics:
1. Reasons for the large number of warrant articles and slow process of and recommendations for improvements.

2. Deficiencies in how information is presented to Town Meeting and recommendations for improvements.
3. Guidelines for the submission of proposed articles by town departments, boards and commissions for insertion in the warrant by the Board of Selectmen.

4. Improving presentation of information for Town Meeting’s consideration of petitioned warrant articles.
