Region Roundup: Vehicular Homicide; Car Crash; Jason Reitman; Kenny Wormald (And More...)

Motor vehicle homicide charges have been filed against Taunton resident David Boulter, 32, whose vehicle crashed into another car May 19 with a pregnant woman inside.

The victim was a passenger travelling west on Old Colony Road when Boulter's car, coming from the east, hit her head on. She was 6 months pregnant at the time, and lost the baby as a result of the crash.

Charges were filed this past week.

The 17-year-old Foxborough teen driving the red Honda Accord that hit another vehicle head-on at Route 140 on June 18 has been cited for “various traffic violations,” according to Foxborough Chief of Police Edward O’Leary.

The driver was cited for traffic violations following his role in Monday’s head-on collision that injured himself, two of his passengers, and the driver of the vehicle he struck at the intersection of Main and Pierce Streets, according to Foxborough Police.

Part of the film Labor Day, starring Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin, was being filmed this past week at Benny's in Mansfield.

The movie is directed by Jason Reitman, of "Juno" and "Up in the Air" fame.

The Project Moves Dance Company is bringing "One Human Race," a critically-acclaimed evening of dance theatre that has moved and inspired sold out audiences across New England, to Oliver Ames High School (100 Lothrop St. in North Easton) on Thursday, June 28.  

Its powerful messages of human acceptance and respect are the cornerstones of the Project Moves non-profit mission.  

The show will feature Stoughton native Kenny Wormald, star of the most recent theatrical release of "Footloose."

The Norton School Committee has chosen Dr. Christopher Martes as the interim superintendent for Norton Public Schools.

The Easton resident retired last year as superintendent for Foxborough Public Schools. Previously he was superintendent in Framingham for four years until 2007, when he was hired in his hometown of Foxborough. Martes started as a fifth grade teacher in Foxborough.
