Remains Of Missing Avon Man Found In Well At His Home
Keith McKechnie, 45, was last seen just before he left his home Sept. 7 and was described as having a history of health challenges.

AVON, MA — No foul play is suspected after the remains of an Avon man who had been missing since September were found from deep inside a water well at his East High Street home Saturday evening, according to the Norfolk District Attorney's Office.
Keith McKechnie, 45, was last seen just before he left his home Sept. 7 and was described as having a history of health challenges, police said.
His body—which showed "no obvious signs of trauma"—was recovered from the well and taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Boston for an autopsy, officials said.

Though toxicology and other testing may remain outstanding for some time, officials said that the autopsy, which was completed Sunday, did not suggest foul play.
Authorities had been told that McKechnie was known to walk the neighborhood and those looking for him were warned that he might be "resistant to being approached."

"Our thoughts are very much with the McKechnie family tonight," District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey said in a news release Saturday evening. "This is a very sad result."
