Snow May Hit Stoughton on Halloween Weekend

Halloween weekend may bring a special fright for Stoughton—snow.

There’s a slight chance of snow on Saturday, when temperatures dip into the mid-30s at night.

“Rain showers will push eastward from the Appalachians during Friday evening into the swath from near Philadelphia to New York City, Boston and Portland, Maine,” AccuWeather said. “Wet snowflakes can mix with the rain.”

Here’s the extended forecast for Stoughton:

• Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high near 54.
• Thursday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 40.
• Friday: Partly sunny with a high near 52.
• Friday Night: A 30-percent chance of rain; mostly cloudy with a low around 38.
• Saturday: A 40-percent chance of rain; cloudy with a high near 43.
• Saturday night: A 40-percent chance of rain and snow; mostly cloudy with a low around 31.
• Sunday: Partly sunny with a high near 43.
• Sunday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 31.
