Stoughton-Based Rentals Unlimited Receives Gala Award

Stoughton-based has received a Gala Award by The Special Event for Best Wedding of 2011.

The winners of the Gala Awards—the most prestigious award in special events internationally—were named on January 27 at The Special Event 2012, an industry conference held at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida.

The Galas have been awarded since 1986 and represent the pinnacle in special events.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have won this accolade,” said Larry Green, CEO of Rentals Unlimited.

“Each year, we help make hundreds of weddings memorable for the couples involved, and to have such an honor bestowed on us is truly heartfelt. The fact that this award is based on an actual event that we furnished makes it all the more meaningful, especially when we remember what a truly special day it was for the happy couple.”

In order to be considered for nomination for a Gala Award, companies submitted the following:

• A 1,000-word description of the event that detailed the event or service.

• Answers to four questions:

1. What were the objectives of this event, and how were they met?
2. What noteworthy challenges arose, and how were they overcome?
3. How was the event unique, distinctive and professionally executed? Give specific examples.
4. How does the event demonstrate value for budget spent?

• Budget notes and breakdown

• Three referral letters

• At least two color photographs

Submissions were anonymous and were voted on by the Special Events Magazine Advisory Board to select three nominees, and then the final winner.

Rentals Unlimited is located in Stoughton on Tosca Drive. The company offers a wide range of products for a variety of different events, from the largest wedding to small festivities.

Inventory available to rent includes many specialty items, décor linens, fine china and crystal, catering equipment, furniture, place settings, accessories and more.

Rentals Unlimited has showrooms in Stoughton, Boston’s Back Bay, Woburn and Hyannis, Massachusetts, as well as Newport and Providence, Rhode Island.
