Stoughton Fire Department Assists Easton in Response to Bay Road Fire
A kitchen fire caused first floor damage to a Bay Road home in Easton, but there were no injuries. Stoughton, Sharon and West Bridgewater assisted the Easton Fire Department.

A kitchen fire at a two-story home on Bay Road in Easton Saturday afternoon caused damage, but no injuries, Easton Fire Captain Tony Gomes said.
The fire was contained to the first floor kitchen at 159 Bay Road. Crews responded at 12:27 p.m. Easton also received assistance from three surrounding communities, including Stoughton.
Gomes said a fire in a wood stove caught some combustibles adjacent to it and spread.

The damage was confined to the first floor, and mostly the kitchen. There was smoke and water damage.
No injuries were reported, Gomes said.

Easton Engines 2,4 and 5 and Easton Ladder 1 responded to the scene.
A Sharon engine also responded, and a Stoughton ladder and West Bridgewater engine covered Easton’s Station 1 during the call.
