Stoughton Gets Big Grant For Downtown Improvement

Stoughton was recently awarded a $586,141 Community Development Block Grant.

STOUGHTON, MA — The town is about to receive nearly $600,000 that will go towards improving the downtown area.

Stoughton was recently awarded a $586,141 Community Development Block Grant to fund a downtown storefront and sign improvement program, according to the town's department for economic development.

The grant will provide funding for four full sign and facade Projects and ten sign only projects
(including signage lighting and awnings), according to a release from the town. Multiple downtown business owners have already expressed interest in taking part in the program.
