Stoughton Literacy Volunteers Offering History and Computer Classes, Immigrant Workshop
The programs, held at the Stoughton Public Library, take place this fall and are designed for basic literacy students.

The are offering three programs at the this fall for ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) and basic literacy students - a one time immigration information workshop; an 8 week history class; and a 6-week computer class.

Immigration Information Workshop
Literacy Volunteers are pleased to offer a free Immigration Workshop at the Stoughton Public Library with Evens Bontemps, Immigration Services Officer U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

The is an informational session and a great opportunity to ask any questions regarding immigration status in a safe, non-threatening environment.
It takes place Wednesday, September 12 from 6 - 8:30 p.m. in the Wales French Room at the Library.

American History Class For ESOL and Basic Literacy Students
Literacy Volunteers are pleased to offer a free 8 week American History Class at the Stoughton Public Library.
Class Dates and Times:
- September 24, October 1, 15, 22, 29, November 5, 19, 26
- 10 - 11:30 a.m.
Requirements:
- Students must be able to attend all 8 sessions and must have a basic understanding of English
Students will learn about
- Basic American History
- U.S. Constitution
- Election Process
- About Important People in History

Computer Class For ESOL and Basic Literacy Students
Literacy Volunteers are pleased to offer a free 6 week computer class at the Stoughton Public Library.
Class Dates and Times:
- September 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20
- 9 - 10:30 a.m.
Requirements:
- Students must be able to attend all 6 sessions and must have a basic understanding of English
Students will learn:
- Basic computer skills
- To navigate the Internet
- To set-up Email
- To fill out online applications
