The following are obituaries for Stoughton residents or those with Stoughton ties for the week of July 9: Maria Rosa (Sousa) Figueiredo; Eleanor M. (Bourne) Tosca; Elaine R. O'Donnell; and Paul DiFabio.

Maria Rosa (Sousa) Figueiredo

Maria Rosa (Sousa) Figueiredo, 89, died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at her home after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Tiago B. Figueiredo. Born in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal, she was raised and educated in Santa Maria. Mrs. Figueiredo came to the United States in 1969 and settled in Stoughton.

She worked as an assembler for Corcoran Shoe for many years, retiring at age 66. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two sons, Jose S. Figueiredo of AZ and Tiago S. Figueiredo of Stoughton. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, July 16 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in the , Stoughton at 10:30 a.m. Visiting Hours Sunday, July 15 from 2-5 p.m. at the Farley Funeral Home.

Eleanor M. (Bourne) Tosca

Eleanor M. (Bourne) Tosca, 92, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 after a period of failing health. She was the widow of George P. Tosca. Born and raised in Brockton, she was a graduate of Brockton Schools. Mrs. Tosca was a resident of Stoughton for many years, before moving to Duxbury several months ago.

She worked as a bookkeeper for Tosca Brothers Drywall before becoming a cafeteria worker in the South School in Stoughton. A communicant and long time volunteer of the former Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Mrs. Tosca was a great neighbor and a devoted and giving friend. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, gardening, reading and spending time at the ocean.

She is survived by her two sons: George P. Tosca, Jr. of Duxbury and Robert R. Tosca of Taunton. In addition to her husband, She was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia McAnneny and her two brothers, Raymond Bourne and Leon "Eenie" Bourne. She was also a loving Nana to her 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte 27) in Stoughton on Tuesday, July 17 at 8 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Christ the King Church, Brockton at 9 a.m. Visiting Hours Monday from 5-8 p.m at Farley Funeral Home.

Elaine R. O'Donnell

Elaine R. O'Donnell, 53, died unexpectedly at her home in Buda, TX on Wednesday, July 11. Daughter of the late George and Eleanor V. (Masterson) O'Donnell, she was born in Boston and raised in Stoughton.

She was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1976 and St. Edward's University in Austin, TX, Class of 1980. Elaine was a resident of New York City for 20 years before moving to Buda 2 years ago.

She was a paralegal in New York City for several years and also was a technical theatre director. She was a member of S.A.G. Elaine formed a stroke support group thru Facebook and wrote a book about her stroke experience. She was a member of the Thespian Society in high school and organized many reunions for the group.

Elaine was the sister of George J. O'Donnell of FL, Robert E. O'Donnell of Boston, Mary Ann Nasiakos of Brockton and the late James M. and Daniel R. O'Donnell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held from the , 358 Park St. (Rt.27) in Stoughton on Wednesday, July 18 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral will be private.

Paul DiFabio

Paul DiFabio, 69, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Friday, July 6. He was born in Brighton and graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1961. Mr. DiFabio owned and operated DiFabio Construction.

Paul loved to work and enjoyed boats, the ocean, fishing and spending time in New Hampshire.

Mr. DiFabio is survived by his sister, Joan Shannahan and her husband Ed of South Easton. He is also survived by his "son" Victor Costa of Stoughton. He was the longtime companion of Dawn Costello of Stoughton. He is also survived by his niece Pamela Carew and her husband Charles of West Bridgewater.

Funeral Service was held from the Farley Funeral Home in Stoughton on Friday, July 13 at 8 p.m. Burial was private.
