Stoughton Police Investigating Cobb Corner Shooting

Police say a man was shot while sitting in his car at the Mobil at Cobb Corner.

STOUGHTON, MA — An early morning shooting at a Cobb Corner gas station has left one injured, Stoughton Police said.

Police responded to a reported shooting at the Mobil Gas Station on Sharon Street at about 3:08 a.m. Sunday morning. Police say the victim, who was sitting in his car, was shot by another man who walked up to his vehicle. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Officers were at the scene until 6:08 a.m.

Police emphasized that the attack was not random and stressed that the area is safe. The gas station did open for business Sunday.

The Massachusetts Crime Scene Services Unit, Sharon Police, and Canton Police assisted at the scene.
