Stoughton Police Alert Residents of Recent Purse Thefts in Town

The Stoughton Police Department issued an alert on the town's website and on the Department's Facebook page, warning residents of recent cases of purse thefts at the RK Plaza on Park St. in Stoughton on the Stoughton/Brockton line.

"There have been two purse snatchings in the RK Plaza in the last few weeks.  Please be aware of your surroundings and safeguard your property," the announcement states.

According to the Stoughton Police log, the most recent case occurred at 6:59 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23, in the parking lot of the RK Plaza near T.J. Maxx. A caller reported that a woman's purse was taken in the parking lot.
