Stoughton Robbery Suspect Arrested In Randolph
Police say Levence Grandoit first met his victim in a convenience store before following him home.

STOUGHTON, MA — One person has been arrested in connection to a late night robbery that took place Sunday, police said.
Levence Grandoit, 23, of Randolph, has been charged with assault to rob and malicious destruction of property under $250, according to the Stoughton Police Department.
A resident at the Bell Apartments on Technology Center Drive reported the alleged attempted robbery late Sunday night, police said. The victim claimed that Grandoit approached him at a convenience store in the Randolph earlier that same night and made a comment about how much cash he had on him. The victim left the store, went back to his home, and was approached by Grandoit, who had followed him, according to a press release.

Grandoit allegedly ordered the victim to give him the cash and attacked him. The victim fended off the attack and retained his cash. His cell phone was broken as a result of the attack, police said.
Police were unable to find Grandoit, but he was identified as the suspect thanks to surveillance video. On Tuesday, Grandoit was arrested during a traffic stop in Randolph and was wearing the same clothing from the night of the attempted unarmed robbery, police said.

Grandoit was due to be arraigned in Stoughton District Court Tuesday.
